Registration
First you need to get the Charles University student card in the issue centre. Then you can register to the library (you will need your student card and ID or passport).
Loan Services
The library offers in-library services, outside loans and interlibrary loan services.
- In-library services – the collection of books from the study room.
- Outside loans – monographs, textbooks and CD-ROMs are available for outside loan. The loan period is 30 days. Borrowings that are not overdue or reserved by other users are possible to be renewed up to 90 days – through online access to a personal account, in person, by email.
- Interlibrary loan service – the library offers to mediate a document from other libraries in the Czech Republic, event. from abroad.
Electronic resources
The library offers access to databases, collections of e-books and e-journals. Check the library website to get more info: http://uvi.lf1.cuni.cz/en/ › E-resources.
The library catalog is available at http://ckis.cuni.cz. Catalog offers the possibility to search the central catalog or to search the particular catalogs of Charles University libraries and to administrate the personal library account (it enables to renew borrowings, make requests for documents, change the email address for communicating with the library etc.).
